Varsity Girls Tennis vs. BGA

Hawks take another strong leap as a team, defeating some tough opponents on Wednesday, Sept 18th. Congrats to Logan Scott for her amazing performance at 2 singles. She played a really tough player, and did not let up her focus taking the win 8-1. Congrats to Harding #1 doubles Caroline Sheets & Olivia McCormack for getting the job done well at 8-4. Shout out to Olivia who came back after a long illness last week. She came back ready to play this week and she is playing stronger than ever! Margaret Greathouse played #1 singles against one of the top in the HVAC division, and she played some of her best tennis yet. Harding Girls finished out on top with another victory 4-1 (2-0 exhibition). GO HAWKS!

Varsity Girls Tennis vs. SCA
Hawks Girls tennis does it again with a 5-0 (2-0 exhibition) victory over St Cecilia Academy. Every girl came out ready to play, and played hard the whole match. Shout out to Margaret Greathouse for a tough battle at first, and for figuring out how to win each point. She came out on top 8-4! Congrats to Louisa Smith for her amazing efforts in her match start to finish, she ended on top at 8-1!

Varsity Girls Tennis Take on USN
The Hawks played some strong tennis on Sept 9th vs University School of Nashville. USN was a strong team that took the win 0-5 (1-1 exhibition), but each Harding girl player fought to the very end. Even with USN not being in our A division, Harding girls took away some awesome experiences from the match. Tough competition makes players better, and the Harding girls rose to the occasion! Shoutout to Margaret Greathouse for taking a top player in the AA division to a close pro-set. Go Hawks!

Varsity Cross-Country Competes at SCA
The cross-country teams competed at St. Cecilia for the second time this season. Eliza Gray Neal finished in 6th place overall with a time of 14:49. Grace Thigpen cracked the top 10 for the first time this year with an 8th place finish overall in a time of 15:45. We had three girls set a new personal record in this race: Lina Mohamed 31:52, Charlotte Thigpen 16:47, and Riley Reynolds 16:52. On the boy's side, Smith Morris finished in 4th place overall with a time of 12:34. Robert Thompson set a new PR with a time of 14:15. Next Wednesday, September 25 both teams will compete in the HVAC Division A finals at the USN river campus starting at 4:30. Go Hawks!
