  • Camp Attendees

    Harding summer programs are open to all students from the greater Nashville area. All students must be 4 years old by August, 2025 to register.
  • Program Schedule

    In 2025, Harding will offer five day camps (Monday - Friday) the weeks of June 2, 9, 23 and July 7, 14, 21. The week of June 16 camps will run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday as the school will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. We offer half-day and whole day options. Morning sessions run from 8:30-11:30 AM and afternoon sessions go from 12:00-3:00 PM.
  • Registration Information

    A minimum of 20% of the program fee is due upon registration. You will receive a confirmation email when registration is completed, as well as an email with additional program specific information the Friday prior to the program’s start date.
  • Extended Care

    Harding offers extended morning care from 7:30-8:30 AM and afternoon extended care from 3:00-4:00 PM. The cost is $50 per week for morning OR afternoon care ($100 for both).
  • Lunch

    Students attending both a morning and an afternoon session must pack a lunch and plan to eat on campus. The lunch period is supervised by summer program staff. Lunch is not provided by Harding Academy.
  • Refund Policy

    Registration for each program is available until 11:59 PM on the Thursday before a program starts.  A $25 registration fee per program registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Registrations canceled more than two weeks prior to the start of the camp will be refunded the remaining balance. Cancellation requests should be emailed to summer@hardingacademy.us.

    Requests for refunds or transfers to another program cannot be honored within two weeks of a camp’s start date.

    Harding Academy reserves the right to cancel camps due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In the event a camp is canceled prior to the start, full refunds will be issued, including the $25 registration fee. If canceled mid-week, tuition refunds will be prorated.

Harding Academy is looking forward to hosting summer programs on campus for students entering PreK through eighth grade in the fall of 2025. All program updates will be shared here and via email for those families registered for summer programs. Harding summer programs are open to all students from the greater Nashville area.   • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Cheer Camp | Rising 1-5 graders $250

    Join Ms. Sidrys, Harding Academy’s head cheer coach, in this cheer camp designed to inspire spirit on and off the field. Cheerleaders will learn basic cheer fundamentals such as cheers, dance, jumps, stunts, and tumbling.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Creative Calligraphy | Rising 5-8 graders $250

    Unleash your creativity and discover the art of beautiful writing at Creative Calligraphy with Mrs. Sapp. Whether you're a beginner or want to hone your skills, this camp will introduce you to the art of calligraphy and hand-lettering while having tons of fun!

    Throughout the week, campers will explore different forms of calligraphy, discover their own unique style, and experiment with various writing tools like markers, nibs, and brushes. They'll also create personalized projects like greeting cards, posters, and their own decorative alphabet to showcase their new skills.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Fancy, Fabulous Fun Camp | Rising K-4 graders $250

    Join Mrs. Fletcher for a week of sparkly, fancy fun! We will make crafts, play games, and partake in all things glittery. Come ready to learn how to make bracelets, create room decor, make personalized artwork, and so many other fun activities. We will also talk about being a good friend and learn what it takes to be a good leader. This camp will be non-stop fancy, fabulous fun from start to finish!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Field Day Fun | Rising K-4 graders $250

    If field day is one of your favorite days of the year, then this camp is for you! Join Mr. Erickson and Ms. Stumpf for 5 days of pure field day fun! We’ll play all of your favorite field day events and more.  Limber up for the limbo, grab your goggles for the water balloon toss, lace up your shoes for races and games of all kinds!  You’re sure to have fun laughing and playing field day games with friends this summer!  I can’t wait to get outside and enjoy some field day fun with you!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Fun with PreK and Kindergarten | Rising PreK and K $250

    Join the fun with Ms. Underwood and her daughter Mac as we play games, make art, sing, dance, and have fun outside! This camp is exclusively for pre-k and kindergarten students, so campers will have the opportunity to make new friends and become familiar with the school campus - while having lots of summer fun! 


  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: LEGO Brick Masters | Rising 1-4 graders $250

    It’s time for LEGO building with Mrs. Wilkinson! With thousands of LEGO bricks and pieces at your fingertips, you will use your imagination, creativity, and engineering skills as you design and construct your inventions. There will be daily challenges, blind building, see it build it, team build and free build, and more. We will also engage in LEGO themed games and art activities. Bring a friend and join in all the LEGO fun!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Outdoor Nature Art Camp | Rising K-2 graders $250

    Join Ms. Kivett and Ms. Zuberer for outside fun with nature and art. Explore building, creating, and exploring in the NOP.

    During Plushie Camp, Jill Hickman, sister-in-law to Ms. Kivett and owner of Oh Just Dandy will help campers create their very own plushie from start to finish. Campers will pick out fabrics, cut out pattern pieces, learn to embroider, and even take a turn at the sewing machine! Can’t wait to see what your campers create!

    Join Ms. Betchick for Unplugged! - where imagination knows no bounds and screens are left at the door! Unplugged offers a variety of exciting activities like board games, card games, arts and crafts, and hands-on challenges. Whether they're competing in friendly games, crafting unique masterpieces, or collaborating on group projects, kids will develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in a fun, social environment. It's a summer of imagination, laughter, and learning—no screens allowed!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Intro to Coding | Rising 1-3 graders $250

    Join Ms. Bahr in Explore Code: First Steps Introduction to Coding. This camp is designed for rising first to third graders who are eager to dive into the world of coding but need the foundations. The camp will be a blend of learning, fun and friendship. There are interactive unplugged activities, as well as guided coding lessons from code.org. Students’ imaginations come to life as they design and code. Through teamwork and collaborative projects, the students will develop social skills while having a blast with like-minded peers.
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Kids Just Wanna Have Fun | Rising K-3 graders $250

    A camp full of crafts, games, stories, outdoor play, and fun! Activities will follow the theme of the day - beach, princesses, safari, and more! The week’s activities will culminate in a slumber party with manicures, hairstyles, and snacks on Friday! Come join the fun with Ms. Underwood and her daughter Mac!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Makers Camp | Rising K-5 graders $250

    Do you love making and creating things with your hands? Join Mrs. Akbari all week and we build and make all kinds of different things! Students will work on their fine motor skills, engineering skills, and problem solving skills to make all kinds of fun games and crafts!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Minecraft Adventure Camp! | Rising 1-3 graders $250

    Are you interested in Minecraft? Have you been playing for a while now? Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player, escape the heat of the afternoon and join first grade teacher, Mr. Erickson, this summer and explore the world of Minecraft! We have a special school edition that allows for many learning and creating opportunities in a safe and teacher led environment. We’ll share ideas and exchange tips and tricks. We’ll have challenges and work together as a team to build, create, and explore! This class will have something for everyone. Both new and seasoned rising 1st through 3rd graders are welcome so no prior experience is necessary! Don’t have a device? No problem because we don’t need your device! We’ve gotten special permission to use the Harding iPads! I hope to see you this summer!

    An important note to parents about Minecraft at school. Our camp will be using Minecraft Education Edition which is similar to Minecraft, but it has some necessary safety features. If students already have a Minecraft account from home they will not be able to access it at school. Similarly, students will not be able to access their school accounts at home.

  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: The Ultimate Pop Star Camp! | Rising K-4 graders $250

    Are you ready for it? Join Mrs. Fletcher for a week of pop star fun! We will make crafts, play games, sing, dance, and even design our own costumes! Campers will be inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and more through clean, age appropriate music and fun activities. Come learn what it takes to be the Ultimate Pop Star and jam out with all of your friends!

Week 2 | June 9 - 13

  • 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM on Thursday): Around About Adventures I Rising 5-8 graders $625

    Led by Coach Jason Embry, Around About Adventure Camp travels throughout the week on different fun adventures. Some destinations include: Nashville Shores, Beech Bend Amusement Park, Franklin Family Entertainment Center - Bowling, Brentwood Skate Center, Altitude Trampoline Park, The Adventure Park, and the Nashville Zoo!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Boxfest 1 | Rising 1-5 graders $250

    If you loved Roxaboxen, you will love Boxfest! Join us for a week where you can transform a plain cardboard box into a castle, a submarine, an animal hospital...anything! Come join us as you create and play in structures of your own design. This camp is led by Harding teacher and Boxfest alum, Ms. Davidson.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Camp Sparkle! | Rising K-4 graders $250

    Join Mrs. Fletcher for a week of sparkly fun filled with mermaids, unicorns, rainbows, and more! We will play games, make crafts, sing, dance, and have a sparkly good time. Together we will explore the magical word of STEM and complete several projects while learning to work as a team. This camp will be non-stop sparkly fun from start to finish!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Have a Ball! | Rising 1-3 graders $250

    "Have a Ball!" is an action-packed camp led by Ms. Liz and Ms. Casey designed to introduce young campers to a variety of exciting ball sports. Each day, campers will learn the basics of a new sport, developing coordination, sportsmanship, and confidence while engaging in fun and interactive games. Whether it's soccer, tennis, volleyball, or other ball-based activities, this camp encourages children to be active, social, and discover a love for sports.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Jr. Space Camp | Rising PreK and K $250

    Calling all space explorers! Join Mrs. Perkins in the Discovery Lab as we travel to galaxies far, far away to learn about space. We will have a blast doing hands-on activities and playing as we learn about outer space. 
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Passport to Fun | Rising 1-4 graders $250

    Experience the world at Harding Academy! Join Mrs. Wilkinson and “travel to” countries on all seven continents and explore their cultures. During our journeys you will learn facts about each country, try out languages, taste local foods, and enjoy games, art, stories, and music.

    The World of Sports camp run by Josh Horn, or Coach Horn to the kids, will cover different sports from around the world that kids in America may not commonly play everyday. Kids will learn about the country from which the sport originated and learn the rules of how the sport is played. Once the rules are learned, we will play the game and see how other kids in different countries play. Each day will cover a different sport that will be from a different country.
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Games and Sports of All Sorts | Rising 1-4 graders $250

    Come join the fun as we play games and sports, both indoors and out!!!  Campers will spend the afternoon joining in a variety of activities. They will have a chance to play traditional games and sports, and they will learn some new ones that they can play at home as well! The week will culminate with a celebration on Friday, sure to be a blast! Come join the fun with Ms. Underwood and her daughter Mac!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Mighty Princess | Rising 1-4 graders $250

    Not all princesses are created equal, and Mrs. Wilkinson is ready to introduce you to some cool, new characters who are imitation-worthy! You will read fun picture books and enter worlds where princesses are heroes, create and fix things, make bold choices, and show how kindness and courage can help others and impact the world. We’ll have the best time together and also engage in art, cooking, engineering, and outdoor activities!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Out of This World Space STEM | Rising 1-3 graders $250

    What better way to teach children about space than by doing some fun hands-on space STEM activities? STEM projects are always a fun way for children to learn, and since they are getting that hands-on experience, they are more likely to remember and understand what is happening. From constellations to the moon, learning about space can be fun. Come Join Mrs. Perkins and her daughter, Harding alum, Layla, for some out of this world explorations!

    Grab your favorite PJs and come join Mrs. Fletcher for the ULTIMATE Slumber Party. Who cares if it is daylight outside? We will escape to our sleepover adventure where we will play games, make crafts, do silly slumber party activities, watch movies, paint fingernails and laugh the "night" away. Invite your favorite stuffed animal or American Girl Doll to join you in this week of fun. This camp will be non-stop slumber party fun! Come join our party!

  • 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM: All Sports Camp | Rising 2-4 graders $400

    What Sports Will We Play with Coach Jason Embry? Each day will offer a variety of sports, activities, and games. Sports and games like soccer, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, wiffle ball, kick-ball, capture the flag, flag football, and many more dodgeball games. Campers will enjoy activities that encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and a competitive environment throughout each day.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Bluey Camp | Rising PreK and K $200

    Who likes to dance?!?!? Want to play like Bluey and Bingo? Bluey Camp, led by Ms. Liz and Ms. Casey, will recreate some of the favorite games from the Heeler Family! This is for real life fun!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Boxfest 2 | Rising 1-5 graders $200

Campers will participate in individual and team challenges such  as designing and building bridges and simple machines.

    Join Mrs. Wheeler from Grassland Elementary for this delightful and enchanting experience designed for students in grades K-4. This camp aims to provide a fun and relaxing environment where girls can indulge in spa-themed activities that promote self-care, creativity, and social interaction.

    Are you a bookworm? Do you love to act? Need to get your wiggles out? This camp led by Ms. Sharpstone is just for you! Learn, move, and have fun with your favorite storybook characters. We will integrate movement, drama and literacy into one exciting camp where children act out stories and scenes from a variety of well-loved children’s books. Throughout the week you will get the chance to write your very own story and act it out!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Wet 'n Wild | Rising K-3 graders $200

    Join Mr. Erickson for splashes of fun at "Wet and Wild" Camp! This 4-day adventure is perfect for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, offering a morning filled with exciting water-based outdoor activities. From water balloon relays and giant bubbles to slip-and-slide challenges and sponge tag, every day promises laughter, teamwork, and a ton of fun! Though we won’t be swimming, kids will stay cool and active with safe, supervised water play that encourages collaboration and builds friendships.

    Join Harding alum Josh Rohricht (‘17) to create fun 3D pieces of art. We will work with clay, foam, paper mache and many other materials to make cool art pieces. In addition to pre-planned projects, there will be plenty of time to create whatever you can imagine.
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Intro to Crochet | Rising 4-5 graders $200

    Join Ms. Davidson this summer in learning a new craft. Campers will learn the basics of crochet, how to start and end a project, and how to read a pattern. All materials, including hooks and yarn, are provided for campers.
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Lower School Esports | Rising 1-5 graders $200

    Join Mr. Erickson for an exhilarating week of gaming, strategy, and camaraderie at our Nintendo Switch Esports Camp! Tailored for young gamers, this camp is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of competitive gaming on the popular Nintendo Switch platform.

    Through hands-on activities and themed days, children will embark on a journey of discovery, learning new things about the world around them and unlocking their creativity and problem-solving skills. In this camp, led by Ms. Liz and Ms. Casey, children explore nature, science, art, and their imaginations!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 PM: American Girl Doll Camp | Rising K-3 graders $250

    You and your favorite doll (optional) are cordially invited to spend a fun-filled week with Mrs. Manning, former HA fourth grade teacher and lifelong AG enthusiast, and her doll, Felicity! Each day, a different theme and American Girl Doll will be featured, along with a creative craft for our dolls. We will be reading, eating, crafting, dressing up, and just having fun, while we learn about what makes us all wonderfully different!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Bubbles! Bubbles! Bubbles! | Rising K-4 graders $250

    Come explore the science and FUN of bubbles!  We will make bubbles in all different ways!  Big bubbles, tiny bubbles, snake bubbles and gigantic bubbles. Join Mrs. Wheeler from Grassland Elementary for this fun bubbling experience!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Coach Horn Skills Academy | Rising 4-6 graders $250

    The Coach Horn Skills Academy is a sports camp that will consist of a variety of games and activities that will help the students learn and develop basic athletic skills and techniques that can help them succeed in multiple sports as they grow.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Creative Kids | Rising 1-5 graders $250

    Creative Kids Camp is back!  Join Ms. Bahr again this year with an added  twist of excitement to the beloved camp. Students will use their STEAMy creative minds to  build their own playhouses for their favorite toys with reused materials. But wait! There is more. There will be secret partner and group challenges along the way. Painting will be involved, so please dress accordingly.

    Join Harding alum Josh Rohricht (‘17) and dive into a world of fun at Games Galore Camp, where every day is filled with exciting minute-to-win-it challenges, creative team games, and classic board games. With a mix of high-energy games and interactive play, this camp promises endless laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments with new friends!

    There is nothing more fun than a week at summer camp! The s’mores, crafts, games, all while enjoying the great outdoors! Join Mrs. Akbari, Hallie, and Annie as we embark on some fun summer camp adventures. We’ll read the Parent Trap book, make friendship bracelets, play games, and do fun summer crafts! Join in on the fun!

    Join Mr. Erickson for some soccer squad fun this summer! This camp for rising kindergarten through third graders is the perfect opportunity for young athletes of all abilities to improve their skills and have fun! Each day, campers will participate in a variety of drills and games designed to enhance their ball handling, passing, shooting, and footwork. They will also have the opportunity to scrimmage and play games like Knock Out, Sharks and Minnows, and World Cup! I look forward to seeing you on the pitch!

Projects may include paper mache animal masks, splatter art and clay game boards. Dress for the mess, bring your imagination, and let's have some artsy fun!

    Join Mr. Erickson for some Lego fun this summer! Each day will include games, challenges, and free builds. We’ll have competitions to see who can build the tallest tower, the strongest bridge, the fastest car, and much more! Unleash your creative potential as you build castles, ships, zoos, or anything else you can imagine! Collaborate with friends and come ready to have some serious Lego fun!

    Campers will learn about our solar system and universe.  We will make a model of the solar system and blast off rockets.  We will learn about astronauts and space exploration. Mrs. Wheeler will be leading these young astronomers!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Party In the USA | Rising K-5 graders $250

    We are off to explore the great USA! Join Mrs. Akbari as we see all the fun and exciting things the USA has to offer! From the National Parks, to the cool animals, to the fun tourist attractions, this camp is a great way to see it all!
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Reading and Spelling Intervention Camp | Rising 1st graders $250

    This one-week intensive camp will spend time reviewing and building essential procedures and skills that are connected to the Orton Gillingham approach. Mrs. Sharpstone will focus on areas that each student needs by reviewing previously learned concepts and adding in new learning. Our time together will include letter naming/writing, handwriting practice, phonemic awareness, reading fluency and comprehension. This camp is a wonderful option for students who want to practice and enhance their reading skills!

    Join Harding alum Josh Rohricht (‘17) for Wacky, Wild Olympics. Campers will compete as individuals and in teams in challenges that put a fun spin on summer and winter Olympic sports. Events modified or introduced competition will include but are not limited to the long jump, 50-meter dash, jump rope contest, relay races, and curling.

Beginners to experienced players are welcome. Come ready to play and learn, but most importantly have fun while improving your skills and playing this great sport! (You will need to have your own stick, goggles, and mouthguard to participate.)

    Math Munch led by Ms. Sharpstone is for all budding mathematicians! Immerse yourself in rich and multi-sensory activities using manipulatives and hands-on activities to build your math skill set.     Led by Coach Jason Embry, Around About Adventure Camp travels throughout the week on different fun adventures. Some destinations include: Nashville Shores, Beech Bend Amusement Park, Franklin Family Entertainment Center - Bowling, Brentwood Skate Center, Altitude Trampoline Park, The Adventure Park, and the Nashville Zoo!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Chefs in Training | Rising 2-5 graders $250

    Cook with Mrs. Wilkinson! You’ll learn good knife skills, safety in the kitchen, and basic cooking techniques. We will prepare and eat a variety of tasty dishes and also enjoy a cooking competition: Chopped at Harding (create unique dishes using surprise ingredients). We will use electric skillets, griddles, burners, and large toaster ovens. *Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate food allergies in this camp.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Fun with PreK and Kindergarten | Rising PreK and K $250

    Join the fun with Ms. Underwood and her daughter Mac as we play games, make art, sing, dance, and have fun outside! This camp is exclusively for pre-k and kindergarten students, so campers will have the opportunity to make new friends and become familiar with the school campus - while having lots of summer fun! 


  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Reading and Spelling Intervention Camp | Rising 1st graders $250

    This one-week intensive camp will spend time reviewing and building essential procedures and skills that are connected to the Orton Gillingham approach. Mrs. Sharpstone will focus on areas that each student needs by reviewing previously learned concepts and adding in new learning. Our time together will include letter naming/writing, handwriting practice, phonemic awareness, reading fluency and comprehension. This camp is a wonderful option for students who want to practice and enhance their reading skills!
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Unicorn and Rainbow Art Camp | Rising K-2 graders $250

    In this colorful and magical camp, offered by Officer Tony and his wife, Loula, children will be creating all kinds of unicorn and rainbow themed crafts! Paint, yarn, and wood, among other materials, will be used to create dreamcatchers, canvas art, and more.
  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: World of Sports Camp | Rising 3-5 graders $250

    The World of Sports camp run by Josh Horn, or Coach Horn to the kids, will cover different sports from around the world that kids in America may not commonly play everyday. Kids will learn about the country from which the sport originated and learn the rules of how the sport is played. Once the rules are learned, we will play the game and see how other kids in different countries play. Each day will cover a different sport that will be from a different country.

    Step into the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss with Mrs. Perkins'  Seuss-tacular Summer Camp for Kids! This week-long adventure  is packed with colorful creativity, silly stories, and endless fun inspired by the beloved books of Dr. Seuss. From crafting Truffula trees and designing Seussian hats to exploring "Oh, the Places You’ll Go!" through imaginative games and activities, every day is an exciting journey through Seussville.     Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure where imagination meets technology? Join Ms. Bahr in the Explore Code: First Steps Introduction to Coding Extended. This camp is designed for rising first to third graders eager to dive into the world of coding who understand the foundations for coding. The camp will be a blended learning on and off the devices. There are interactive unplugged activities, as well as guided coding lessons from code.org with extensions of Scratch projects. Students’ imaginations come to life as they design and code. Through teamwork and collaborative projects, the students will develop social skills while having a blast with like-minded peers.

  • 8:30 - 11:30 AM: Welcome to Harding: A Camp for Incoming Harding Kindergarteners $250

    Enjoy getting to know your new Harding classmates over five days of morning fun led by Mrs. Fletcher! We will share lots of giggles as we play games, craft art, sing songs, listen to stories, play musical instruments, and explore outside.     Mrs. Ponder has over a decade of experience preparing Nashville's students for the ISEE exam, and she is excited to share her experience with Harding's rising 8th graders! During this week of camp, students will become familiar with all sections of the test, review some academic content (especially in math), and learn test-taking strategies with the goal of maximizing potential, building confidence, and reducing anxiety.
  • 12:00-3:00 PM Middle School Boys Basketball Camp| Rising 6-8 graders $250

    This basketball camp with Coach G is for those who are interested in or have played on a middle school basketball team. This is a great opportunity to sharpen and grow your basketball skills while having fun playing! 
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Little Hawks Cheer Camp | Rising K-5 graders $250

    Join Mrs. Fletcher for a week of cheer fun. Campers will learn the basics of cheer technique and how much fun it can be to be a cheerleader. During camp, we will work on beginning stunts, chants, tumbling, motions, voice control, and stretching. We will also play games and make cheer themed crafts. Cheerleaders will learn a dance and cheers to perform at the end of the camp. No experience is required. The camp fee covers the cost of a cheer bow or cheer sweat band for each participant.
