Harding Parent Association

The Harding Parents Association (HPA) is a community-driven service organization that works to enhance the educational experiences of our students by fostering a spirit of community and supporting the school with needed resources. HPA special events and volunteer projects offer opportunities for parent interaction and school enrichment for every Harding family.

The Harding Parents Association (HPA) is the major parent support group at Harding Academy. This organization is made up of parents and/or guardians of enrolled students. Its primary purposes are to:

-Assist and support teachers and students

-Sponsor fundraising projects that enable school enrichment

-Promote unity, cooperation, and involvement within the Harding family

The Harding Parents Association consists of the executive committee made up of a president, president-elect, treasurer, secretary, communications coordinator and volunteer coordinator. Nominations for these leadership positions are requested in the spring, and the nominating committee then determines the slate of officers for the following school year. The remainder of the association board is comprised of various committee chairpersons who are recruited by the president-elect. This group of approximately 60 members, in addition to the executive committee, takes an active role in organizing the various association events. Although each committee within the association has a chairperson, or several chairpersons, many other parents are needed to help with these activities.

The 2024–2025 Harding Parents Association Executive Committee is as follows:

President, Megan Jacobs
President-Elect, Beth West
Secretary, Elizabeth Lackey
Treasurer, Janet Hardin
Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel Pritchett
Communications Coordinator, Meghan Kawecki
