Harding Wrestling Falls to BGA
The Harding Hawk wrestlers traveled to Franklin on Tuesday, Nov. 16 to take on the BGA Wildcats in an HVAC conference dual meet. The meet was closely contested with a score of 30-24 when taking out the forfeits. Harding received one forfeit and BGA three to set the final score at 48-30 in favor of BGA.
Harding pulled within six (36-30) after 4 straight pins from their middle weights. Quinn Taylor '23, RJ Perkins '22, Sam Bowers '22, and Christian Land '22 all won by pin. Colton Bowers '24 also won an exhibition match for the Hawks.
The wrestlers are back in action for their final dual meet of the season, a home match against Ensworth on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 4:30pm. The season will come to a close with the HVAC tournament on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Brentwood Academy Middle School. Tournament action starts at 9:00am. Go Hawks!!
