Hawks Soar in Final Dual Against Ensworth
The Harding varsity wrestlers saved the best for last as they put forward a great team effort in a 54-18 win over the Ensworth Tigers on Thursday, Nov. 18. Winning matches for the homestanding Hawks were: Cian Corby '24, Matthew Johnson '24, Quinn Taylor '23, RJ Perkins '22, Sam Bowers, '22 and Griffin Rogers '23.
RJ Perkins ended the season undefeated at 7-0 with all victories coming by pins. Quinn Taylor and Cian Corby both ended the dual season 6-2.
The Hawks look to end their season in a strong way at the HVAC Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Brentwood Academy Middle School. Action starts at 9:00am and will continue through mid-afternoon as the Hawk wrestlers battle their way through a field that includes: Montgomery Bell Academy, Brentwood Academy, Battleground Academy, Grace Christian Academy, Nashville Christian School, Franklin Road Academy, Ensworth and Pope John Paul II.
