It has been a productive month for the Head of School Search Committee. We have made excellent progress toward our goal of having Harding Academy’s next Head of School in place by July 2026. Today, we want to provide an update on the search process and ask for your input.
ST Search Site Visit
Jamie Estes and Kirk McClintock from ST Search visited campus this week and met with several stakeholders from our community including faculty, staff, administration, parents, students, current and former Trustees, alumni, and the Search Committee. It was an insightful visit that illustrated many distinct attributes of Harding Academy for ST Search to articulate as they recruit candidates. We are grateful to so many individuals at Harding for making this visit a success, especially Micheline Dutil and Erin Anderson.
Head of School Search Advisory Committee
During the visit, Jamie and Kirk met with our newly-named Head of School Search Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee represents key stakeholder groups and will be engaged throughout the recruitment process, sharing valuable input to the Search Committee that will help inform the Board’s final appointment. We are grateful to the following individuals, who were selected in collaboration with the Search Committee and school leadership, for serving in this capacity:
Bill DeLoache, former Trustee and President Emeritus
Melissa Frist, former Trustee
Megan Jacobs, President, Harding Parents Association
Jake Nemer, President, Harding Alumni Association
Tandy Perkins, Lower School Science Faculty
Jennifer Weinblatt, Middle School English Faculty
Jordan Yates, School Counselor
Please Share Your Input in the Survey Below
It is important to the Search Committee that we obtain input from as many of our community members as possible. In partnership with ST Search, we have prepared the following survey to gather insight on the culture that makes our school unique and to learn more about the characteristics and priorities that may be important for our next Head of School. The information from the site visit and this survey will be used to develop the position profile for the formal candidate recruitment process.
Please follow the link below and complete the survey before 5 PM on January 31.
We very much appreciate your participation and support as we work to identify an outstanding leader to serve as our next Head of School. If you have any questions, please reach out to either of us or email headsearch@hardingacademy.us.
