Head of School Survey Results and Position Profile
Dear Harding Academy Community,
On behalf of the Search Committee, thank you to each of the 179 individuals who took the time to complete our recent survey to inform our Head of School search process. Your responses illuminated the Harding community’s views on the qualities sought in our next Head of School and the priorities for the next few years. Community participation in the search process is vital for success, and we are grateful for your feedback.
While a variety of thoughtful opinions reflected the range of thinking in our school community, several clear themes about Harding Academy emerged from the survey, including:
a tight-knit community atmosphere
highly qualified, passionate teachers
an individualized, age-appropriate approach to education
Our consultants at ST Search prepared a slide deck summarizing the survey results, which you can view here.
These survey results in conjunction with the on-campus interviews conducted by ST Search in January helped craft a Position Profile that summarizes the Harding community and outlines the desired traits and immediate priorities for our next leader. The Position Profile ensures that our Head of School leadership opportunity is presented and marketed effectively to the most qualified candidates. We are already seeing very strong interest.
ST Search will now use its extensive networks to build a robust candidate pool, which the Search Committee will then carefully evaluate.
